Like anything worth doing in life, property investing can be tough, especially if you’ve started with nothing and worked hard to achieve your success. So, how do you get through these tough times, and push through the lower points of investing, in order to make it to the top? Ask any investor…It’s all about the hustle!
If you have a goal you want to achieve and you go for it with every ounce of energy you have, you will get there, it’s just a matter of time. Have a plan of attack and stick to it. Be driven, have passion, have direction and purpose and block out all the doubt that others may throw at you. At the end of the day, it is your life, you have made a choice to invest, and created a plan to follow, so just do it.
Despite what advertising throws at us each day, you don’t need to spend money to be happy. In fact, the opposite is probably closer to the truth. The less money you spend on material pleasures, the more money you save. This allows you to put more of your hard-earned cash into properties, giving you greater leverage to invest more and more. This inevitably leads to a greater cash-flow which can give you freedom to choose how you want to spend your time. What would bring you greater happiness, being locked into a lifetime of work and spending or having the financial freedom to take time off or even retire when you want to?
When I began investing I had to work three jobs in order to save for and purchase my first investment. I sacrificed the material things and unnecessary spending in order to invest in more properties, believing the sacrifice was worth it every time.
Hustling myself to the next level, time and time again, the work paid off, and I was able to leave the workforce at 25 and permanently travel the world. So, if you are doing it tough and finding it hard, just remember, you are pushing yourself to a better life. Whatever doesn’t kill us makes us stronger, and when all your hard work pays off in the end, you will appreciate your success even more.
